Intern from ECU
he/him/his

I’m Richard Lamb a counseling intern here at Salem Counseling & Consulting. I am currently working toward my license as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate at East Carolina University. At the core of my work, I believe there is a deep relationship between therapy and teaching and much of how I approach therapy is through that understanding. As a therapist it is my hope that we can work together to build the tools and strategies you need to meet your goals. I typically work with children (10-years old or older) and adults in telehealth (online) settings. Through our work together we will gain insight into the thoughts, feelings, and actions we want to change using evidenced based techniques from a variety of lenses to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play-based therapy, and behavior analysis. I seek to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental place to process and understand themselves.

I offer telehealth sessions to maintain flexible and responsive hours to meet my clients needs. Through the use of telehealth appointments, you will be able to meet in the comfort of your living space and at times which are more convenient and accessible for you, such as after work or on the weekend. I look forward to working with you to help build your well-being. Please feel free to schedule a consultation and meet me.
