I’m Hollie Bowers, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA) in North Carolina, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Addictions from East Carolina University (ECU), where I also completed a Graduate Certificate in Military and Civilian Trauma Studies. Additionally, I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I provide telehealth services to individuals and couples ages 12+. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming, ethical non-monogamy friendly, diversity welcoming, and culturally competent, recognizing and respecting each individual’s unique experiences and identities.
I have a trauma-informed and person-centered treatment perspective and utilize an eclectic approach drawing from various evidence-based modalities depending on the client’s individual needs. These include but are not limited to, Rogerian person-centered therapy, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution- Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Polyvagal Theory, and NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM).
In therapy, I foster a non-judgmental and safe space for clients to explore, learn, and grow on their journey toward self-discovery and healing. I aspire for you to feel genuinely understood and accepted, embracing your authentic self and where you are while identifying and encouraging areas for improvement. Together, we will collaborate towards fostering positive change and achieving personal growth.
